We are an artisan company who's brand is inspired by the Pamlico Sound and River located in Eastern North Carolina.

 Many of our pen designs are inspired by the Pamlico Sound and River as well as the surrounding areas of North Carolina With it's rich history and culture.

From the Native Americans who first inhabited the region to the English settlers of Roanoke Island, the pirates who sailed its waters, the Pamlico has seen its share of history and lore.

The barrier islands, sound, and river were roamed by famous pirates like Edward Teach better known as Blackbeard.

The Outer Banks Barrier Islands are the Gateway to The Graveyard of The Atlantic where thousands of ships have come to lay at the bottom of the North Carolina coast since the sixteenth century.

Driven by dreams of a fresh start, the English colonists arrived on the Roanoke island with a spirit of adventure. They craved a life brimming with possibilities, a place to build a new society free from the constraints of their homeland.

Their courage and perseverance was undeniable as they faced the challenges of forging a new life in an unfamiliar land with many unknowns but their tenacity was undeniable.

The surrounding area is rich in wildlife, agriculture, and seafood and also the home of the lost colony and local Indian tribes like the Pamouik and Croatoan Indians.

All of our pens are original and one-of-a-kind. They are handcrafted with precision and superior materials. A lot of our wood is sourced locally from the Pamlico region.

We make our pens in Washington North Carolina on the Pamlico River.
